Skype allows you to share your availability status with your contacts ,you can choose the status you want from a range of options such as : Offline, Online, Skype Me, Not Available, Away, Do Not Disturb and Invisible.

There are two ways to change your status on Skype,the first way click the right mouse button on the Skype icon in the taskbar and choose Change Online Status,then select the status that you want.

The second method Open the Skype window, then click on the Skype menu and then choose Online Status ,then select the status that you want.
